Softorinos Universal License Reviewed: All You Need to Know

Softorino, the company behind some of the best-reviewed iOS apps on the market, has just released Softorino Universal License. You don't use Apple products? No worries, they have great stuff for Windows too! Let's take a closer look at each app and see what you can expect from this bundle.

Softorino was kind enough to give me the Universal License so that I can have a closer look on all of their apps. And to let you know right away: it is worth it. Let's check why. And to let you know right away: it is worth it. Let's check why.

Was du mit diesem Bundle bekommst

Like mentioned previously: The Sofotorino Universal License is basically a bundle of apps. For one complete price you get access to their best apps (more on the pricing models later). This is awesome as you don't get 16 different but one clean invoice. With this approach Softorino is following the industry change of offering SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions rather than individual apps. I personally like the model while others would argue that you lose flexiblity - which is not the case here as you still can purchase the apps individually (just go here).

The apps are:

  • WALTR PRO (MacOS + Windows) Convert and transfer any file into iPhone and iPad
  • SYC 2 (MacOS + Windows) YouTube Converter for music, videos and ringtones
  • Folder Colorizer für Mac (MacOS) Change folder colors on MacOS
  • iRingg (MacOS + Windows) Create unique ringtones and push them to your iPhone
  • Folder Colorizer 2 (Windows) Change folder colors on Windows
  • Speicher-Optimierer 2 (Windows) Free-up RAM for faster and better PC performance
  • Task ForceQuit 2 (Windows) Force quit programs without rebooting your PC
  • Lautstärke Concierge 2 (Windows) Schedule auto volume adjustments for your PC
  • Streamr (MacOS) Stream any video file from MacOS to Apple TV (Coming 2022)
  • PicFindr (MacOS) Search and find free high-resolution stock images (Coming 2022)
  • SYC PRO (MacOS) Download online videos (Coming 2022)
  • altTunes (MacOS + Windows) Browse, manage and export iOS Data (Coming 2022)

You're a fast mover? This way:

WALTR PRO (MacOS + Windows)

This app is designed to convert & push any file into any Apple Device. Without the need to use iTunes, which I always hated - and countless others as well. In fact iTunes was the one thing that scared me away from Apple products for years. I rarely used my Apple products (other for testing things for you). Now this might have changed...

If you are using iOS-based devices like an iPhone or iPad but are not fond of iTunes this app is a must for you.

But thats not all: WALTR PRO does push pretty much every file format to your iOS devices by formatting them into Apple-friendly types.

Heck, it even has audio-lovers with music in FLAC format covered (the richest audio format I know).

Softorino YouTube Converter 22

Softorino YouTube Converter 2 (MacOS + Windows)

Imagine you found a YouTube video you want to convert to a certain file format. You do the good old "convert youtube video to .mp4 online free" Google search and hope that it is a legit tool once more - and that it is working.

I surely was guilty of doing this like... a thousand times. I strayed away from going with a professional tool for way too long. Now that I used their "Ultimate YouTube Converter" I don't want to miss it again. Especially as a content creator, it is super convenient to have a solid app for converting YouTube videos into different formats. But also teachers, students, people with certain hobbies, and many more can really use this app.

iRingg Logo

iRingg (MacOS + Windows)

This is probably the app I had the least use for. It is built to create a Unique Ringtone, which is super cool (and it works like a charm) but my devices are either on vibration or silent 99% of the time.

Still, it was fun testing around - and I know a few people who struggled in the past with creating personal ringtones. I will propose this as a solid solution for future attempts.

Folder Colorizer for Mac Logo

Folder Colorizer (MacOS)

(does the same as Folder Colorizer 2 for Windows)

This one is my favorite. It is so simple but (or better to say: and because of this) so brilliant. This app does allow you to change the color of your folder icons!

You are not as excited about this as I am? Well, I understand. It does indeed sound a bit slim. But there is a huge benefit to being able to quickly change the folder icon to a certain color.

This allows you to group folders optically to certain groups.

Green folders belong to work. Red ones are urgent projects and blue ones are private folders. Or whatever type of categorization you want to have.

I was thrilled when I learned that they have an app for this. You are still not convinced?

I made a small test with a new folder structure. 20 folders, 3 groups (1x 10, 2x5 folders). Then I checked how fast I am able to find the corresponding folders (I pushed each of them into another folder dedicated to the category).

Without colorized folders: 01:32

With colorized folders: 00:26

Decide for yourself.

Sure, you could do this yourself too but it is a tedious task and therefore I dare to say: no one is doing it.

And also you could group them by adjusting the folder name like "Work" + folder name but I personally rather do not crowd the folder names more than necessary.

For me this apps is amazing and gives not only a fresh touch to your Windows File Explorer and Desktop but also boost your productivity.

Change folder color & get organized.

Memory Optimizer 2 (Windows)

Freeing up RAM on your computer is usually bound to searching for a solid app first. I used a ton of tools over the years. Some worked better, some worse. But all had in common that the process took quite some time, which can be a little bit frustrating from time to time.

This app right here did the 1st job within 2 minutes. And I am including installation and activation of the license here. Pretty impressive. These are the results:

Utilities Logo

Task ForceQuit 2 (Windows)

This is an app for Windows. And you probably won't make us of too often but when you needed you will be glad to have it. Promise.

Why? Well, Task ForceQuit 2 is an app built to do one task which Windows is doing but not in a really user friendly way. I am talking about killing stuck processes.

Of course you can access the Windows Task Manager and kill such stuck system processes - and I know that many people do know how - but did you ever experience issues, opened the task manager and found a list of countless entries and you had no chance to properly evaluate which entry is part of the stuck app?

This is where this app comes into play. It is seamlesly embedded in your task bar at your lower end of the screen and with y few swift clicks you can kill the app/program you want. With all the corresponding processes.

Utilities Logo

Volume Concierge 2 (Windows)

Another app I don't have to much use for personally but I do see it's purpose for sure. This app is mean to manage your computers volume for you. And it does it beautifully by giving you a straight forward interface to schedule your volume. This way you can define, the base level of your device's volume depening on time and day.

This is super cool to avoid blasting your latest "late night work mix" playlist in public on the train when forgetting to close it in the background.

Upcoming Apps (PicFindr, Streamr und SYC PRO)

Streamr for Mac Logo

PicFindr (MacOS)

(Will be updated once app is released)

This upcoming app (announced for 2022) is one I will be looking closely at. As a content creator I am in dire need of high quality stock images. Sure there are countless services for this. But either they are either low in quality or quite pricy. This option would of great value as it is included in the 16-app bundle.

PicFindr for Mac Logo

Streamr (MacOS)

This upcoming app will allow you to stream any video file from Mac to Apple TV. Cool? Cool!

Coming 2022

SYC PRO for Mac Logo

SYC PRO (MacOS + Windows)

This will be the enhanced versions of SYC 2 (see above). It is built to effortlessly download online videos like a pro.

How do I install and activate apps of Softorinos Universal License?

Don't want to waste time juggling around with a bunch of license keys to activate your apps? No worries. There is no need to. no nötig.

Like mentioned previously the installation and activation process of the apps is quite easy and fast. Here are the steps (example app being Folder Colorizer 2):

1. Go to softorino.com/submanager and select the app you want

Right-click on "activate" or the download icon to start the get the app.

2. Click "activate" or download and install the app on your computer

If you click "activate" but you didn't install the app yet you will be prompted with this pop-up. Just click "download now".

3. Return to softorino.com/submanager and click "activate"

Once you installed the app and click "activate" your browser will ask you for permission in most cases. You need grant permission if asked.

4. Wait for the license key to be applied automatically

The license key will be grabbed automatically and completion will be announced with this pop-up.

That's it for installation and registration. Pretty convenient, right?

Are there any discounts available?

Yes, there's a 30% discount for students and the military. Just send them an email from your .edu account or with ID to get coupon code using contact form here. Pretty cool if you are asking me.

You are neither a student nor military personel? No problem. I dug a little deeper for you and there is a 10% discount for subscribing to their newsletter (it is placed across their site at different places - e.g. here). Depending on which payment plan you go with this can be a significant amount.

What I did not like about the Universal License

The only thing I did not like during my tests is that iRingg is exclusively for iPhones (like the name already implies). But to be fair this is not an issue or something but rather some additional functionality (or app). Maybe someday.

What I recommend doing / Which payment plan to take

Their current prices are listed here and considering that you get 16 apps I have to say: They are fair.

I think the apps are worth it and you should consider going with the one-time payment granting you a life-time license. This is because you will break even rather soon and will be saving money ever since. Further Softorino is offering a 30-days refund policy (check herefor further details). So there is no real risk if you should find that you don't like or rather need the apps.

But I totally get if you still don't want to dive right into it. Therefore you can start with one a subscription of one month. It is around 10 bucks and you can cancel your subscription if needed.

Interested? Check out Softorino's product page (you can also get started there if you like):
